Asagi Saundo is a human earthling based in Mexico City, his Cumbia, he calls it, ExTerrestre, a sound who was once from the Earth but now has departed into the Universe.
“The best thing about music is the feel good state, for me Cumbia guarantees that” Asagi Saundo.

Asagi’s compositions are heavily influenced by the Cumbia Sonidera Mexicana, a sound and movement he is part of, regularly playing with Sonideros, at Pulquerias, bars, street parties and whatever the exponents of this music gather.

La Cumbia Sonidera is almost everywhere in Mexico City, in the Metro, in the taxis, the markets… slow and hypnotic, sometimes romantic and others full of heartbreak, telling stories and sonorising everybody’s life. From this experience Asagi digs and takes it into his own world or better yet takes it out of this world, He embarks on a quest and transgress the limits of reality, his Cumbia, tells a story “directed to humans who look further than the reptile hologram” he says.
